Top Training Companies List Includes CPA Firms
In its March 2001 issue, Training Magazine, one of the top training magazines in the USA, has unveiled its list of the Top 50 Training Organizations in the United States.
How do they do it?
For Andersen, a couple of notable programs include the firm's coaching and mentoring program, its Global Management Partner program (which links all of its partners together worldwide) and its Growth and Retention of Women program.
Plante & Moran was recognized for developing "...a fully integrated professional development program which is strategically linked to corporate goals." Programs which helped the firm achieve this recognition include the firm's team and buddy systems, competency based Performance Management, online learning, use of staff assessments, and integration of all of the above into its We Care Spirit and culture.
Training Magazine conducted extensive research to select its 2001 Top 50 list through a multi-tiered nomination, application, and review process. Other financial services firms that were named to the Top 50 list included Capital One Financial, Edward Jones, and Synovus Financial Corporation.
Voice of the Editor
Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
