Sage Acquires Fund Accounting Software Provider MIP

Sage, a leading U.S. provider of business management solutions for small and mid-sized businesses, has acquired not-for-profit accounting software giant, Micro Information Products (MIP).

MIP markets NPS Intro, NPS Pro, and the Advantage NonProfit Series. The MIP management team will remain in place, and the company will continue to be based in Austin, Texas.

"We're delighted to add MIP's market-leading products to our strong portfolio of business management solutions," said Ron Verni, CEO of Sage U.S. operations. "The MIP acquisition will add strategically important products in an area we currently do not serve - the non-profit and governmental accounting market."

"We're excited to be able to bring an entirely new market segment to Sage," said Kent Hollrah, President of MIP. "We look forward to tapping into the additional resources and expertise that Sage provides as we continue to build our business and serve our customers."
