RSM McGladrey Announces Insurance Alliance

RSM McGladrey, Inc., a subsidiary of H&R Block, has announced a national alliance with three major insurance companies to provide life insurance solutions for McGladrey clients.

Jefferson Pilot Financial, Pacific Life Insurance Company, and National Life Insurance Company will work locally with McGladrey wealth management planning teams through a network of approximately 85 independent agents nationwide to provide insurance services to McGladrey clients.

RSM McGladrey's financial planners will not receive commissions based on an individual's life insurance purchases. "Our focus will be on building a portfolio that meets our clients' financial objectives," said Tom Rotherham, RSM McGladrey president and CEO, adding that an RSM McGladrey affiliate receives fees from the insurance carriers to help offset the cost of building a base of financial planners nationwide, and will receive additional fees based on a number of factors.

"This alliance is just another piece of RSM McGladrey and Block's strategy to build an organization that is the premier provider of financial services to our mid-sized business clients," said Rotherham.
