RSM McGladrey Acquires Connecticut Firm

H&R Block-owned RSM McGladrey, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Connecticut-based Messina, Ceci, Archer & Co., a closely-held firm specializing in mid-size business clients, nonprofit organizations, construction, and real estate companies.

Messina, Ceci, Archer & Co. has served clients in the Fairfield, CT area for 16 years, and has a staff of 40 professionals. All personnel are expected to remain with the company and clients will be served by the same professionals they have dealt with previously.

"MCA's excellent reputation for serving the needs of closely-held, owner-managed businesses and not-for-profits, combined with RSM McGladrey's national resources, will provide mid-sized clients with the unique advisory services they need," said Tom Rotherham, chief executive officer of RSM McGladrey.

With more than 3,000 employees and 100 offices nationwide, RSM McGladrey is the U.S. member of RSM McGladrey International, the seventh-largest accounting, tax and consulting organization in the world, and is a subsidiary of H&R Block.
