Robert Half to Acquire Andersen Risk Consulting Group

Arthur Andersen LLP has signed a letter of agreement with Robert Half International (RHI) arranging for the transfer to RHI of a "substantial majority" of the firm's partners and other employees of the firm's U.S. Business Risk Consulting Services group.

The Business Risk Consulting Services group offers services in areas of internal audit, technology risk consulting, and financial and commodity risk consulting. This group is separate from the firm's external audit and attestation services.

RHI will develop a new business unit to accommodate the transfer of Andersen employees.

"This transaction…will provide our people with career opportunities and our clients with continued quality service from respected professionals," said C.E. Andrews, managing partner of Andersen's audit practice.

Pending a finalization of the details of the plan, it is anticipated that the transfer of employees from Andersen to RHI will be completed by April 30, 2002.

RHI is a worldwide placement firm specializing in providing staffing in the fields of accounting, finance, and information technology professionals.
