Regional Firm Raises the Bar for Competition With Web Site

Gilbert Associates, Inc. recently annouced the launch of their redesigned Web site at www.gilbertcpa.com

With the use of streaming video, the firm's Web site now has the impact of a successful television and print campaign online. Managing Principal, Thomas Gilbert, provides a brief commercial on the homepage directing clients, guests and future employees to different areas of the site.

Colleen Harrison, Gilbert Associate's Marketing Director commented, "We are extremely pleased to announce the completion of our Web site. As founding sponsor of Northern California's web awards event, The Dotties, we have a responsibility of setting the bar for excellent Web sites. We feel that the use of streaming video on our site accomplishes this goal, plus, it sets us apart from other public accounting and professional service firms in the Sacramento region. This technology really enhances the value of the site to the end user including cross-selling opportunities that educate guests on the variety of services available."

A study done by Dynamic Logic on the impact of and consumer response to streaming video advertising reported that brand awareness increased 54%, advertiser's brand favorability increased by 40%, key message retention increased by 144% and purchase intent increased by 47%.

"Many companies today are using streaming video technology for external communications, marketing, customer service and internal communications. In fact, streaming video is a trend that will be growing substantially in the years to come," said Brad Marsh, Owner, Blue Tribe Studio and designer of the site.

Because more consumers are switching to broadband, the download time for the video is greatly reduced thus making it less time consuming and easier for the end user. In fact, a report recently issued by Jupiter Research stated that by year 2008, the broadband market is expected to double in size to 46 million plus households in the U.S. using high speed methods to connect to the Internet. This is a huge difference considering only 21.5 million households are using some type of high speed connection today.
