Pizza & Doughnut Contest Winner - Crisp Hughes Evans LLP
AccountingWEB is pleased to announce the winner of the "AccountingWEB 2002 Free Pizza and Doughnuts Contest."
Crisp Hughes Evans LLP, located in Greenville, South Carolina is the lucky winner of free pizza and doughnuts from March 1st through April 16th. Summer Brooks submitted her firm’s name for the contest and was chosen from 98 entries.
Crisp Hughes Evans has offices in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. They are one of the top 50 accounting firms, and were among the top five in the Southeast, and are in the Top 25 "Best of the Best" according to Bowman’s Accounting Report.
The winning office, located in Greenville SC has 50+ employees and specializes in tax, auditing and technology. Last year the firm held a "Bean Counting for Bean Counters" contest. The idea was taken from a workshop that AccountingWEB conducted during busy season last year. The office filled a clear canister full of jellybeans, and the employee who guessed the closest amount of jellybeans without going over won a free weekend in Hilton Head Island, SC. Another tax season fun idea the firm used was to provide the staff with a "Tax Season Survival Kit", which was also an idea from the AccountingWEB workshop.
Congratulations to the staff of the Greenville, South Carolina office of Crisp Hughes Evans LLP. Enjoy!
Voice of the Editor
Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
