PayCycle Launches Wholesale Payroll Program for Accounting Professionals
PayCycle, the first company to offer online self-service payroll for accountants, today announced the launch of the new PayCycle Wholesale Program for Accounting Professionals – a comprehensive, online client payroll solution available at deeply discounted wholesale pricing.
Unmatched Value for Accounting Professionals
This new offering is designed to make client payroll profitable for accounting professionals. The wholesale program costs $14.99 per client per month for the first five clients and $9.99 per month for subsequent clients. The monthly fee is all-inclusive. There are no additional per pay day or per employee charges. Direct deposit services, federal and state electronic tax payments and filings—including W-2’s—are also provided at no additional expense. The program even offers toll-free customer service with payroll experts. No other payroll service offers this kind of value to accounting professionals.
Ease of Use Breakthroughs Make Payroll Work Fast and Easy
PayCycle continues to lead the development of easy, self-service client payroll by launching numerous, exclusive features. Before the end of the year, PayCycle plans to offer electronic payments and filings for 1099 contractors. With this enhancement, PayCycle will be the first online self-service solution to offer accountants full support of W-2 employees and 1099 contractors.
With the recent additions of 100% paperless payroll in Illinois, Connecticut and soon to be released Pennsylvania, along with upcoming state electronic tax payments in Arizona and Colorado later this year, PayCycle offers more state electronic payments and filings than any other self-service solution—19 states in all. PayCycle is the only self-service payroll that provides complete payroll form support for all 50 states. This saves accountants and their staff hours of time calculating and completing state payroll tax form filings.
A Preferred Partner for e-Government Initiatives
PayCycle has also been instrumental in extending “paperless” payroll e-pay/e-file technology to state governments. Both Illinois and Connecticut chose PayCycle to develop and launch the new federal state employment technology, FSET. According to the Illinois Department of Revenue, “PayCycle is the first payroll service company to win approval by both state agencies after pilot testing.” With the recent August 2004 launch with PayCycle, these two states are now the first to employ this new, IRS-endorsed standard.
PayCycle has long been the front-runner in developing online payroll technology. The company was the IRS’s premier partner in developing the federal 94x efile standard that launched in 2003. In a recent IRS e-filing customer satisfaction survey, in which nearly half the respondents were PayCycle customers, 96% of the respondents were either satisfied or very satisfied with electronically filing their IRS forms, and 92% of respondents rated electronic filing as “better” than any other method. Using PayCycle, accountants can quickly and easily complete Form 940 and 941 tax filings with a few clicks.
Highly Requested Marketing Support to Help Add Clients
The new Wholesale Program for Accounting Professionals features rich marketing resources to help accountants launch and build up their payroll business. This includes a client marketing guide that features the results of a “best marketing practices” survey of PayCycle’s most successful accounting professionals. There’s also a brochure that is automatically customized for the accounting professional including the firm name and contact information. Accountants simply print the brochure directly from their printer. A customizable sample client sale letter is also provided, along with “The Secret to Offering Profitable Payroll” white paper authored by the recognized accounting industry influencer, Bob Wolff.
Other New Features Increase Client Payroll Profitability
The new Wholesale Program also includes further enhancements to save accounting professionals more time and money. Most notably, paycheck printing on blank check stock is now available. With this feature, accountants can eliminate the hassle of having to maintain a separate inventory of pre-printed checks for each client. Blank checks are 50-80% less expensive than pre-printed checks, and can be purchased from PayCycle’s recommended vendor, VersaCheck®.
“I love the blank check printing feature. All accountants should get their clients going on this. I’ll be able to handle three times the number of clients by using PayCycle and the blank check printing feature,” says Charles M. Ross, CPA, a PayCycle customer.
The company has also added multi-state tax withholding calculation support, as well as new 2004 Form W-2 formats that can be printed on perforated W-2 forms or plain paper.

Voice of the Editor
Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
