New Andersen Consulting CEO Renews Firm Focus

E-commerce will be the central focus for Andersen Consulting (AC), according to Joe W. Forehand, who was just named chief executive to replace former chairman George T. Shaheen. The announcement was made Monday.

The firm also will concentrate on taking a greater financial interest in its own client base. Forehand has 27 years' experience with AC, and previously managed the firm's communications and high-tech consulting practice.

The firm also will rely on the expanded e-commerce practice as a way to compensate for losses related to its declining backoffice consulting services.
