Miller receives Adult Learner of the Year award

Kristopher Miller, CPA, senior in the tax department of Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC in Brentwood, Tenn. was recently named the 2008 Adult Learner of the Year by the American Council on Education (ACE).

This award is presented annually by ACE and is given to an adult learner who has earned a college degree or advanced his or her career as a result of utilizing ACE's College Credit Recommendation Service (CREDIT). Recipients must also demonstrate outstanding achievements in their community and/or workplace while balancing family, career, and education.

"Four years ago, I came to the realization that in order to better support my family, I needed to go back to school," says Miller. "Today, I give credit to my wife and son as it is their love and support that enabled me to reach this goal. I now work for a leading CPA firm in Nashville and feel that I have positioned myself for a very bright future."

Miller graduated top of his class from Lipscomb University in 2007 with an accounting degree and was honored with an Outstanding Achievement in Accounting award during his senior year.
