Marcum & Kliegman LLP Workplace Challenge returns to Jones Beach

The 2008 Marcum & Kliegman Workplace Challenge, Long Island's largest participatory sporting event, will be held at Jones Beach State Park on Tuesday, July 29, beginning at 7:00 PM. The Challenge is a major annual event where the CEOs and leaders of Long Island's top companies, their employees, and their families gather to compete. This year's Workplace Challenge is expected to attract more than 10,000 runners representing over 250 different companies.

"Many new companies have come on board this year to see just how exciting the event is," states Workplace Challenge Event Director Mindy Davidson. "Proceeds from the race will benefit two worthy and charitable organizations: Long Island Children's Museum and Children's Medical Fund of New York."

The Workplace Challenge is a 3.5 mile run/walk along scenic Bay Parkway at Jones Beach State Park. Post-race activities include Long Island's greatest office picnic, complete with a fun-filled children's entertainment and activities tent sponsored by Long Island Children's Museum. Committed to the continued success and growth of the event, this year's Challenge has gone green. Whole Foods has sponsored a recycled and reusable goody bag for all participants. For further information regarding the Challenge, please contact the Greater Long Island Running Club at 516.349.7649 or visit the event Web site.
