Marcum & Kliegman introduces new partners

Marcum & Kliegman LLP, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, is pleased to introduce new Partners Matthew Pinto and Robert Weiner, who will join the Firm's Real Estate Financial Services Group. "Matthew and Robert bring a highly-successful track record to M&K," states Managing Partner Jeffrey M. Weiner. "They will each play an integral role in expanding our growing real estate and construction practice areas."

The M&K Real Estate Financial Services Group specializes in providing financial and accounting solutions to real estate owners, developers, managers, REITs, private equity funds, institutional investors, and other real estate related entities. The Group's extensive knowledge of the real estate industry combined with expertise in the leading software packages (e.g., MRI, Yardi, Timberline, Argus) ensures that its clients maximize the value of their real estate holdings. Services performed by the M&K Real Estate Financial Services Group include financial reporting, outsourced fund and property level accounting, construction accounting, waterfall/promote calculations, external audit coordination, interim staffing needs, and transactional services. Matthew Pinto, CPA, has over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting for real estate, construction and asset management. Pinto has lead teams overseeing an extensive range of projects including office buildings, shopping centers, hotels, mixed use residential properties and golf courses, as well as funds and REIT's for pension funds, institutional investors, and private owners. Prior to joining Marcum & Kliegman, he worked for some of the largest consulting, real estate and construction firms in the nation. Pinto is a graduate of St. John's University with a B.S. in Accounting.

Robert Weiner, CPA, specializes in financial statement preparation, accounting systems, financial modeling, and investor reporting. Weiner has extensive experience working with real estate owners, developers, institutional investors, REITs, and real estate funds. Prior to joining Marcum & Kliegman, he served as a VP of finance for an NYSE listed REIT and as the Director of financial outsourcing for a large national real estate accounting and finance consulting firm. He received a B.S. in Finance from the State University of New York at Albany and an M.B.A. from Hofstra University.
