Miami-based Kaufman, Rossin & Co., one of the largest independent accounting firms in Florida, has announced that a group of Broward County professionals have joined the firm.
Edward P. Hirschberg, Martin J. Kurtz, and their team of professionals from London Witte & Company have joined Kaufman, Rossin starting on January 1, 2010. Kaufman Rossin has relocated its Broward County offices to 3101 North Federal Highway in Ft. Lauderdale.
Hirschberg will serve as Broward practice leader for Kaufman, Rossin & Co. He served as managing director with London Witte and has been a practicing CPA since 1972. His practice has focused on litigation support services including contract disputes, marital dissolutions, rehabilitative and lump sum alimony, child support, and equitable distributions. Hirschberg also has both individual and corporate clients in the real estate and retail industries and the medical and legal professions. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Hirschberg is accredited in business valuation (ABV) and certified in financial forensics (CFF), and he is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).
Kurtz will serve as client services executive at Kaufman Rossin. He was the director of accounting and audit services at London Witte and has more than 40 years of experience as a CPA. His practice has included accounting, auditing, business consulting and business valuation, tax and estate planning services to businesses and individuals. He is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Kurtz is accredited in business valuation (ABV) and certified in financial forensics (CFF).
