Janover Rubinroit Merges with Roberts, Rick & Moses
Janover Rubinroit LLC, the accounting arm of the JR Group Companies, provider of accounting and financial advisory services to individuals and businesses, announced the newest phase of its ongoing expansion: The firm has merged with tax and estate specialists Roberts, Rick & Moses, in addition to relocating and enlarging its New York City office.
This is the second merger in less than four months for Janover, which merged with the former Gilbert & Levy LLP in late 2006.
Roberts Rick & Moses has moved its ten-person professional and support staff from Merrick to Janover Rubinroit’s offices in Garden City. The merger brings the total Janover headcount to 85 – including 42 accountants and professional staff. The firm has 12 partners, three principals and three joint venture partners.
Roberts Rick & Moses co-founder and managing partner Ken Rick has joined Janover as a partner. Co-founder Martin Moses will continue with the firm as well.
At the same time, Janover relocated its New York City offices to 805 Third Avenue and expects to double its Manhattan-based staff there by year’s end.
In addition to other accounting and advisory services, Janover’s New York office serves the entertainment industry. The firm’s Royalty Review affiliate works with publishing and music clients to verify they are receiving royalty payments in accordance with their industry contracts.
“Our merger with Roberts, Rick & Moses, along with the relocation and expansion of our New York City office, are the latest developments making Janover Rubinroit one of the metropolitan area’s most dynamic, and fastest growing, accounting and financial advisory firms,” said Michael Goodman, managing partner of Janover Rubinroit, LLC.
“The JR Group Companies provide the full range of accounting, tax and insurance services, as well as royalty reviews, to clients throughout the East Coast, as well as in California. Our comprehensive offerings and attentive service make us the firm of choice for middle market companies, which is why our volume has multiplied six-fold in the last decade.”
Janover Rubinroit LLC was founded in 1938 and has been ranked among the top 25 largest accounting firms on Long Island by Long Island Business News.
Voice of the Editor
Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
