Jackson Hewitt Prepares More Tax Returns in 2005

Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc.’s national network of franchised and company-owned offices prepared 3.3 million tax returns during the fiscal year that ended on April 30, 2005. That is a 5.9 percent increase over the previous year. Revenue per return also increased by 6.7 percent during the same period. Sales of financial products increased 11 percent during fiscal year 2005. A total of 3.1 million financial products, including 1.2 million refund anticipation loans.

Jackson Hewitt is the nation’s second-largest tax preparation company. They ended fiscal year 2005 with 5,484 locations including 4,871 franchise locations and 613 company-owned locations.
