H&R Block Takes Business to Year-Round Service

Seasonal tax-preparer H&R Block have unveiled a plan to transform their offices into year-round financial Services outlets for the middle class.

The Kansas City-based company plans to open 94 Block Financial Centers throughout the country. Included in the finanical planning arena will be advice on investment services, home mortgages and online trading.

Block also plans to expand its Web site offerings with similar services, and create customer incentives with a new program called "Refund Rewards." Customers may take their tax refunds through a smart card that may be used for a variety of services and programs.

Block currently has 9,000 centers nationwide.
