Grant Thornton LLP consolidates Advisory Services

Grant Thornton LLP has announced the appointment of Greg Pitzer and Larry Redler as co-national managing principal and partner, respectively, of the Advisory Services practice. The new Advisory Services practice combines Grant Thornton's advisory service lines, including more than 800 professionals nationwide, into one, seamless division of the firm. The Advisory Services practice delivers expertise and client-focused solutions in a variety of areas, including: governance, risk and compliance; information technology; forensics, investigations and litigation; transaction advice; due diligence; corporate advisory and restructuring, valuation; business strategy and performance improvement.

Pitzer has served as Grant Thornton's national managing principal for the Business Advisory Services practice since 2002, a practice which encompasses a full suite of risk management, information technology, operational, and strategic services. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, he was with Arthur Andersen for 12 years, where he served as the national partner-in-charge of the firm's Regulatory Risk Consulting group, which he founded. Pitzer is a graduate of Central State University, Oklahoma City. He is a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. He is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Redler joined Grant Thornton in 1980 and has served as Grant Thornton's Economic Advisory Services national managing partner, responsible for overseeing forensics technology, investigations, litigation, valuation, and corporate advisory and restructuring services. Serving clients in a broad range of industries, he has significant experience in forensic accounting, expert witness testimony, and other litigation services. Redler is a graduate of the University of Missouri. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Integrated Resource Manager–American Production and Inventory Control Society and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
