Florida CPA firm wears red

As part of February's American Heart Month, Daszkal Bolton LLP, a certified public accounting firm with offices in Boca Raton, Sunrise, and Jupiter, FL joined thousands of Americans nationwide in celebrating National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 6, 2009, by wearing red to help raise awareness about the dangers of heart disease for women. The firm is happy to report nearly 100 percent participation by nearly 70 female employees in all three offices.

Rebecca Fieler, corporate communications director at Daszkal Bolton, stated, "National Wear Red Day is a great opportunity to reach out to women in our community and alert them to their personal risk factors for heart disease. By wearing red on February 6, we all showed our support for women and heart disease awareness."

Fieler adds, "February 1 is also the official start date of Busy Season for accountants. This is a highly stressful time for all of our associates. We do our best to mitigate the late nights, early mornings, anxious clients, and, of course, deadlines, by offering flexible schedules so that our associates can tailor their hours to maximize their effectiveness and reduce stress. We also provide regular morale-boosting and stress-reducing activities in each of our offices. We are highly committed to enabling and encouraging our associates to lead healthy lifestyles, including an equitable work/life balance. The mental health of our associates is just as important as their physical health. Healthy associates are happy associates!"

National Wear Red Day is an annual event held on the first Friday in February and sponsored by the American Heart Association. The first observance, in February 2004, was announced at the White House. On National Wear Red Day, women and men across the country wear red to unite in the national movement to give women a personal and urgent wake-up call about their risk of heart disease. Everyone can participate in this life-saving awareness movement by showing off a favorite red dress, shirt, or tie, or by wearing the Red Dress Pin.
