Crowe Chizek Donates More Than $176,000 to Hurricane Relief

Crowe Chizek’s firm-wide fund-raising effort, begun last month, has resulted in a combined total of $176,590 being donated to organizations helping people affected by the Gulf Coast hurricanes. Crowe Chizek staff members donated a total of $101,590 and the firm provided a $75,000 matching donation, according to a statement from the firm.

“Once again our Crowe family has shown its compassion and caring by helping those whose live have been turned upside down by the recent hurricanes and those working so hard to rebuild the Gulf Coast,” Mark Hildebrand, Crowe CEO said in a prepared statement. “I can’t say enough about the generosity and compassion of all the people at Crowe. They truly inspire me and make me proud to be a part of this firm.”

Crowe staff members selected the American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity to receive the firm’s contributions. Many Crowe personnel also do volunteer work for these organizations.

The American Red Cross will receive 61.6 percent or $62, 615 for the donations and 46,200 of the matching funds given by Crowe. Habitat for Humanity will receive 38.4 percent or $38,974 of the donations and $28,800 in matching fund from the firm.
