Centerprise Acquires Great Plains Partner

Confirming its commitment to providing an array of professional services to middle-market companies in geographically diverse regions, Centerprise Information Solutions (CIS) acquired Houston-based FinAcc Resources, a prominent Great Plains Partner, owned by Margarett J. Foster. The acquisition will add six professionals and over 100 clients. Centerprise Information Solutions is the technology consulting services division of Centerprise Advisors, the country’s 13th largest professional services firm.

"The move was very strategic for us as we wanted to leverage the market presence that we already have in Houston and surrounding counties with our CPA partner firm, Mann Franfort Stein and Lipp (MFSL). FinAcc has developed a symbiotic relationship with MFSL and this acquisition solidifies the relationship," said Ron Eagle, Chief Operating Officer and the impetus behind this transaction and future acquisitions. He continued, "Margarett’s group brings tremendous experience and is a solid foundation to build a practice for clients needing financial, e-business and CRM solutions."

"The decision to join CIS was simple for us. Our relationship with MFSL gives our clients access to a greater breadth of professional services such as profit enhancement, tax planning and a variety of other financial services. We also look forward to continue working with the MFSL client base as we install and implement solutions to increase their business efficiencies," said Foster.

The acquisition falls in line with the Centerprise growth strategy of building IT consulting practices in cities where Centerprise CPA partner firms are located. It is the first of many acquisitions the firm plans to make. "There are obvious synergies between the CPA firms and IT consulting practices. Clients look to their CPA as their most trusted advisor. When it comes time to implement a business management solution, the CIS group will be a seamless extension of that trusted advisor relationship," said Eagle.
