CaseWare Launches New Version of Time and Billing Software

CaseWare International Inc., which provides software products for accountants and auditors, has released a new version of CaseWare Time 2006, its time and billing software package.

CaseWare also released Today 2006, which integrates information from CaseWare Time with Microsoft Outlook information.

CPA Technology Advisor awarded Time a 4.5 star rating, with 5 being the highest, in October of 2006: “With the option to transfer information from Time to Today, thus making it accessible in Outlook, CaseWare provides a valuable option for users that are reliant upon contact and client management on a regular basis.”

CaseWare’s last major upgrade to Time and Today was in 2005. For 2006, a number of refinements and basic layout changes were made to interfaces, and e-mail options were updated.

Joseph Trainor, CPA and sole practitioner, told CPA Technology Advisor that he likes the integration and similarities to CaseWare’s Working Papers: “One of the best aspects of Time for my firm is the fact that the basic user interface for Time is the same as the Working Papers program, which I use extensively in my practice. Having the same user interface lowered the learning curve and has allowed me to become really adept at using both products.”

CaseWare President Dwight Wainman said, “We continually improve our time and billing package. This year’s version is no exception and that is why Time is always rated highly.”
