Beall Barclay accountants receive promotions
The Fort Smith, AR-based CPA and wealth management advisory firm of Beall Barclay recently announced the promotions of Brian Hall, CPA, Joshua Parker, and Kartika Hopper, CPA.
Hall joined Beall Barclay in 2005 as an in-charge tax accountant. In his new role as a tax manager, he is responsible for providing cost segregation studies, tax planning, research and consulting, and tax return preparation and reviews to the firm’s clients. Hall graduated magna cum laude from the University of Central Arkansas, where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in accounting in 1997. He is involved in several professional and community organizations including the Arkansas Society of CPAs (ASCPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Fort Smith Rotary Club, Young Emerging Leaders for the Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce, and Faulkner County Leadership Institute. Hall is also a member of the Beta Alpha Psi and Beta Gamma Sigma alumni associations. He currently resides in Fort Smith, Arkansas with his wife and children.
Parker, formerly a staff accountant, joined the firm in 2007. As an in-charge accountant, he provides comprehensive tax, accounting and consulting services to the firm’s clients. Parker graduated from West Texas A&M University. He currently resides in Fort Smith, Arkansas with his wife and son.
Hopper joined Beall Barclay in 2007 as a staff accountant. In her new role as an in-charge accountant, she performs audits, reviews and compilations for the firm’s clients. In addition, Hooper prepares individual and corporate tax returns. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Central Arkansas in 2004. Hooper also graduated from the University of Indonesia with an Associate degree in advertising in 2000. She is a member of the Arkansas Society of CPAs (ASCPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Beta Alpha Psi alumni association. She currently resides in Fort Smith, Arkansas with her family.

Voice of the Editor
Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
