Birmingham, AL-based CPA firm Barfield Murphy Shank & Smith is proud to announce it has received two national awards.  For the second year in a row, Barfield Murphy Shank & Smith is the recipient of the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility.  This is national award program that recognizes companies for superior workplace programs. 

 
In addition, Inc. Magazine has ranked Barfield Murphy Shank & Smith on its 2009 list of the 5000 fastest-growing private companies in the country.  The Inc. 5000 list measures revenue growth from 2005 through 2008.  To qualify, companies must be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent.  Barfield Murphy Shank & Smith is the only CPA firm in Alabama to make the list.
