ACCPAC Buys SBT Accounting Systems

Mergers and consolidations in the accounting software arena are commonplace these days. Now, it has just been announced that ACCPAC has purchased SBT Accounting Systems.

The purchase adds the database accounting capabilities associated with SBT to ACCPAC's line of enterprise products. One unique advantage inherent with SBT is the ability for end-users to customize their solutions by manipulating the source code in the program.

The addition of SBT adds 1,500 resellers and 150 employees to ACCPAC's substantial hold on the accounting software marketplace. ACCPAC is a division of Computer Associates' interBiz group.
