AccountingWEB Receives Innovation Award

AccountingWEB has been selected as the very first recipient of the "On The Edge Innovation Award" from the Leading Edge Alliance, a progressive association of independently owned public accounting firms in the USA.

AccountingWEB CEO Michael Platt was in Las Vegas last week to pick up the award at the association's Annual Conference.

Michael Platt"We are truly honored to be the first recipient of this special award recognizing innovation in the accounting profession. This kind of recognition by our members gives us the fuel we need to continue bringing innovative new resources and tools to accountants through the Internet," said Platt.

The Leading Edge Alliance is less than two years old, and already has captured the attention of some of the largest CPA firms in the country. Representing almost 30 large local and regional CPA firms, The Leading Edge Alliance boasts 17 of the top 100 firms in its membership roster.

Progressive firms such as SS&G Financial Services have utilized the AccountingWEB workshop room for virtual press conferences, and are taking full advantage of the modules and resources available throughout the AccountingWEB service.

"The one e-mail newswire I look forward to each week is AccountingWEB," said Gary Shamis, chairman of The Leading Edge Alliance, who is also Chair of the AICPA's Management of an Accounting Practice Committee.
