Sage makes a Peachtree offer some won't be able to refuse

This week, Sage Software announced the availability of free software for the clients of accountants who are ready to make the switch to Peachtree. Through January 31, 2008, accountants who recommend Peachtree to their clients currently using Intuit's QuickBooks can get Peachtree by Sage Complete Accounting 2008 for the clients for free with proof of ownership of QuickBooks. Customers who then make the switch to Peachtree will also get six months of support free, from the date of registration, with the Guaranteed Start-up Success program.

Sage Software recently announced the general availability of a new QuickBooks conversion tool, which simplifies the conversion process for businesses that are ready to make a switch to Peachtree, to utilize its extensive functionality and ease of use. And, small businesses will receive six months of free support through the Guaranteed Start-Up Success program so that they will be supported through their transition with access to the assistance they need as they get started with Peachtree.

"We are overwhelmed by the response of our Accountants' Network members since introducing the updated conversion tool. Many of them have asked for this capability, to ease the pain of transitioning for their clients ready to make the switch," said Heather Scarpero, director, Sage Software Accountants' Network. "And now, not only is it easier than ever for small businesses to switch, through January 31st, with the assistance of their accountant, it's also free."

Peachtree is a comprehensive solution for small businesses based on double-entry accounting principles, featuring screen-level security, audit trails, and automatic accounting checks.

The new conversion tool features a wizard, which walks the individual through each step of the process with detailed help, and pre- and post-conversion checklists. QuickBooks 2006 or 2007 users can convert and transfer their lists, balances, transactions, and other data directly into Peachtree. For an overview of what is included in the conversion, visit www.peachtree.com/qb.
