IL CPA Society Announces Scholarship Programs for Future CPAs
The Illinois CPA Society announces its annual Accounting Scholarship program that offers scholarships to accounting students who are planning to complete their final year of education needed to sit for the CPA Examination in Illinois.
The scholarship program, which is funded by the CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois, will award up to 6 scholarships of up to $4000 each to those outstanding students who show significant potential to become a CPA and who demonstrate academic achievement as well as financial need. In addition, the Herman J. Neal Scholarship program is offering up to 3 scholarships of up to $4000 each to African-American students who demonstrate strong academic performance in their goal to become a CPA and would benefit from scholarship support.
This program supports students with their junior and senior years as well as with the additional year, or 30 semester hours needed to sit for the CPA exam. This scholarship program was established in honor of the deceased Dr. Herman J. Neal, a distinguished Chicago physician, because of his strong beliefs in opening doors to opportunity, and in the value of education and scholarship for African- Americans. College seniors as well as individuals that have graduated and wish to return to school to complete the coursework needed to become a CPA are encouraged to apply.
