CPE Link helping CPAs understand Health Care Act

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will implement fundamental health care reforms and require most of the 32 million uninsured individuals to obtain health care coverage or pay penalties. The act contains more than $400 billion in revenue raisers and new taxes on employers and individuals.

Attending CPE Link's live Web cast, "Health Care Reform Act," is a quick, convenient way for tax professionals to get up to speed on how the Health Care Reform Act affects their clients. Instructor Vern Hoven discusses the individual and business provisions covered by this act and the effective dates. Both credits and penalties are covered.

CPE Link is offering only one more presentation of this popular Web cast: September 29. Past attendees have found the Web cast to be very valuable. One commented, "I thought the course material was excellent. Lots of good information. Lots!" Another said, "The instructor was excellent, informative, interesting. He had a wonderful command of the subject."

The self-study version of Hoven's Web cast offers an on-demand version of the Web cast, the same material as in the live event, plus the convenience of studying at your own pace. The self-study course qualifies for four CPE hours.

And for a limited time, CPE Link is making tax expert Vern Hoven’s Health Care Act Q&A document available for free. Practitioners can download the document from the resources section of CPE Link's Web site.

Hoven, a practicing CPA with a Master’s in Taxation, is a highly-rated presenter who demystifies complex tax legislation. Hoven is well known for the comprehensive Federal Tax Update program he teaches each year in several formats including CPE Link’s live Web cast platform. Hoven teaches more than 100 days a year for CPAs, lawyers, and realtors throughout the United States.
