AccountingWEB LIVE! Conference to offer engaging sessions, CPE credit

AccountingWEB, the leading online media company for accountants, will be presenting the AccountingWEB LIVE! Conference on Tuesday, September 14, at the BWI Airport Marriott in Baltimore.

AccountingWEB LIVE! is designed to help accounting professionals grow their businesses by providing the knowledge necessary to make them invaluable to their clients. The conference consists of thought-provoking and knowledge-packed sessions, as well as a collection of CPE courses not available elsewhere, according to organizers.

"Most CPE offerings in the marketplace are worthwhile, with many of them being outstanding. What we have created here is that same slice of pie, but with a nice big scoop of ice cream on top, plus some nifty sprinkles," said Rob Nance, AccountingWEB publisher. "CPAs who attend AccountingWEB LIVE! will have a terrific selection of very educational up-to-the-minute sessions, delivered by some innovative, engaging people."

The AccountingWEB LIVE! Conference offers eight hours of CPE. Combined with eight hours of CPE credit being offered the day before at the 2010 Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA) Technology Conference, attendees can collect 16 credits in just two days.

Conference attendees also will have access to AccountingWEB LIVE! presenters, including an opportunity to mingle with them during an intimate cocktail reception following MACPA's Technology Conference on Monday, September 13.

"The blend of MACPA’s Technology Conference and AccountingWEB LIVE! makes for a powerful one-two punch relevant to most every type of CPA in the United States. It’s critical that the AccountingWEB subscribers and audience get a superb value, especially in today’s difficult business conditions," Nance said. "Partnering with the Maryland Association of CPAs ensures that a top-notch experience will be the bottom line for attendees. They know how to run these programs better than anyone, they pay attention to details, and they satisfy CPAs."

Nance encourages managing partners, partners, managers, staff accountants, sole practitioners, firm administrators, and marketing directors to attend the conference.

"This event is not a science experiment; it’s a high-impact shot in the brain for today’s progressive, dedicated accountant," he said. "This event is also an easy one to do. It’s priced to sell out and is a quick, free shuttle ride to a very nice Marriott hotel by the Baltimore-Washington International Airport."

Tom Hood, CPA.CITP, MACPA CEO and executive director, agrees.

"Take technology, add the impact of CPA firm and business management, and then get the perspective from national leaders - the AccountingWEB Bloggers Crew - and you get critical insights to help you stay ahead of the turbulence," Hood said. "That is why we are really excited about this upcoming conference featuring AccountingWEB LIVE! and the partnership with our technology conference for two exciting information-packed days of learning."
