AccountingWEB Launches CareerZONE

Every survey taken in the last couple of years has shown that the staffing crisis facing CPA firms today is the #1 problem facing the profession. The numbers of students entering the profession are dwindling and employers don't know how to find good staff.

AccountingWEB Offers Its Members a Partial Solution

AccountingWEB is proud to announce CareerZONE, a new service developed in association with CareerBank, a job listing service dedicated exclusively to the accounting and finance profession, to help match employers with potential employees, and help bridge this staffing gap.

Among AccountingWEB's 30,000 members and countless other visitors are hundreds of CPA firms and corporate companies looking for qualified, dedicated staff. Further among AccountingWEB's membership are thousands of entry level staff and experienced staff looking for opportunities to excel in their accounting careers. AccountingWEB's CareerZONE is the place where these two forces can come together for the good of the profession as a whole.

The CareerZONE site provides career tools to employers and job seekers, as well as up-to-date news, original articles and newsletters on the profession and career development. CareerBank has also developed strategic partnerships with leading organizations including national and state CPA societies, resume writing & recruiting services and leaders in Internet design and technology. Because of the various partnerships established through the CareerBank network, employers will have access to resumes far beyond the population of AccountingWEB members, and job seekers will have access to many more employers who are seeking their services.

EMPLOYERS: We encourage employers to review the job placement services available through CareerZONE and review our special member pricing schedule for placements.

JOB SEEKERS: Create an account with CareerZONE and post your resume online for free today. Browse through the job opportunities posted on the site and explore the various career building resources provided for your benefit.

A Note From AccountingWEB

We recognize that there are many career placement services available over the Internet, and that many employers are fearful of the full access their own employees have to this kind of information. Rather than restricting access to this kind of resource, AccountingWEB has decided to provide full access to these tools to be used in a professional manner. We encourage both employers and currently employed professionals to use these tools to help both the organization and the individual succeed. If you are currently employed, your best career move may just be speaking with your supervisor to find out what kinds of opportunities exist for you. AccountingWEB wants each and every one of our members - both individual and corporate - to achieve their potential, and we hope that this new service helps accomplish that goal!
