Accounting firm provides students with one-stop job search Web site

Aronson & Company (A&C), a nationally-ranked top 50 accounting and consulting firm, recently announced the launch of its TeamAronson.com Web site geared toward college accounting and finance majors entering the job market. The site, which was designed in support of the firm's recruiting efforts, is part of an initiative to help reinforce their employer brand and put a recognizable face on their on-campus recruiting program. Furthermore, the firm intends to develop the site as a resource for prospective and current accounting professionals, by giving them direct and immediate electronic access to industry information. The company expects to add a blog function to the site shortly, which will open a direct line of communication between recruiters, college students, and job seekers.

As part of this initiative, Aronson & Company is giving away a Dorm Room Super Bowl Party grand prize. In addition to the prize entry form, the site features information about the company, press releases and other news, useful links about the accounting industry, and even profiles for their recruiters, giving job seekers direct access to the staff and humanizing what can be a daunting process for many college students.

Commented A&C Managing Officer Lisa J. Cines, "The Team Aronson initiative is based around the concept that we give our employees the option to call their own plays, make their own moves, and determine their own path. This is a team that values unique abilities and understands the needs of our staff, as evidenced by the fact that we were recently recognized by the Washington Business Journal as one of the 'Best Places to Work' for the second year in a row."

The grand prize, which includes a new flat screen television, pizza party for the winner plus their friends, and other assorted party gear, is open to college students enrolled for the upcoming semester at an accredited college or university, majoring in accounting or finance. While most students will be entered on their campuses at job fair events, the Web site offers a second chance for people to enter the contest if they missed the on-campus recruiters.

The grand prize winner will be notified by e-mail prior to February 1, 2009 and announced on TeamAronson.com shortly thereafter.
