Denver-based Company Forms Alliance with PWC
TeleTech Holdings Inc., a company that manages customer service operations and marketing for customers such as American Express and Ford Motor Co. announced plans for buying a firm in California for $200 million. TeleTech will soon be revealing plans to open a call center in Northern Ireland as well.
In the midst of all the excitement, TeleTech has also announced an alliance that has been formed with PricewaterhouseCoopers. The goal: to place TeleTech in touch with prospective clients that the company wouldn’t normally have access to. Since the alliance between the two companies doesn’t focus on setting sales quotas or exchanging equity, it’s impossible to project revenues at this time.
“It’s fairly significant for us because it’s the first relationship of this type with one of the Big Six firms, who in the past have been our biggest competition but are now turning into our partners,” said TeleTech spokeswoman Claire Maledon.
Voice of the Editor
Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
