Deloitte Consulting Aligns with CFOWeb.com
Deloitte Consulting announced today that it has formed an alliance with CFOWeb.com, the financial services industry's first full-service Internet portal site for CFOs, fund managers, and corporate treasury operations. The strategic alliance is aimed at providing financial institutions with seamless integration to CFOWeb.com.
Deloitte Consulting will work with investment banks and financial services providers to develop comprehensive e-commerce strategies to integrate with CFOWeb.com. Currently, the site represents the first single-source location for independent third-party valuations, portfolio and risk management, and trading directly with providers. Deloitte’s strategy is to work with the site’s current capabilities to enhance the offering to end users.
By combining trade capture, fair market valuation, portfolio management, and connectivity with multiple providers of financial products at no cost, CFOWeb.com is an obvious destination for portfolio managers. The site also hosts each user's portfolio in a secure, private facility. This allows users to subscribe to a number of value-added services (such as swaps processing, advanced risk management analysis, and exotic trade pricing) from unrelated service providers without migrating their existing portfolios.
A primary benefit of the site includes lowering the cost of doing business for both the user and provider of the product or service.
Voice of the Editor
Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
