CPA2Biz Acquires Capital Professional Advisors
CPA2Biz announced today that it has acquired Capital Professional Advisors, Inc., the exclusive provider of financial services to 17 top public accounting firms in the U.S.
CPA2Biz Capital, as it will now be called, works with CPA firms to provide insurance, brokerage and investment advisory services through CPA firms to over 300,000 individual and small business clients totalling over $750 million in assets.
As more and more CPA firms have migrated towards providing financial services to their clients, Capital Professional Advisors has positioned itself with many high profile, well-respected CPA firms as a partner to assist with the delivery of these client services.
Capital president Doug Wright is a seven year veteran in providing financial services opportunities to the accounting profession. "We saw this opportunity to become part of CPA2Biz as the perfect way to meet the increasing demand among CPAs and their clients for a broad portfolio of financial services," said Mr. Wright.
Voice of the Editor
Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
