Citrin Cooperman announced that partner Scott Rutter has been named cochair of the board of directors for the Real Estate Networking and Transactions Group (R.E.N.T.), a New York-based organization for professionals in the real estate and allied industries. Rutter also will continue to serve as treasurer for the organization, on whose board he has served for six years. 

 
"I am delighted to be guiding the operations of R.E.N.T. for the next year," said Rutter. "The organization shares my passion for improving the real estate industry in New York by ensuring that brokers and service providers engaged in real estate have the tools that they need to thrive in any economic climate." 
 
R.E.N.T. is a networking and transactional group consisting of member firms engaged in some real estate activity either directly or in support thereof. Members are brokers, bankers, attorneys, publicists, and other allied service providers to the real estate industry, and meet regularly to share business development best practices and referral sources.

Kaufman, Rossin & Co., announced that it has become the first South Florida accounting firm to be licensed to offer SysTrust certification, an assurance service specifically for third-party business service providers.
 
SysTrust certification is used by third-party providers to validate that security, processing integrity, availability, and confidentiality controls are in place to mitigate risks posed by their environment. Cloud computing, IT-managed services, financial services, and health care companies are among the businesses that can benefit from obtaining the seal. 
 
To offer the SysTrust Seal, firms must apply to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA). Applicants must have a good reputation and undergo a review process. All firms officially licensed to offer SysTrust certification are listed at www.webtrust.org.

Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC (LBMC), an accounting and business consulting firm, has added four members to its tax services team in Nashville:
 
Ashley Lassiter has been hired as a staff member in tax services. A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's of business administration in accounting, Lassiter previously interned with LBMC. 
 
Matthew Liskom has joined the sales and local tax (SALT) team. A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a bachelor's degree in accounting, he brings experience in both SALT and OneSource software. Prior to joining LBMC, Liskom was a sales and use tax analyst with IBM.
 
Colt Sullivan, CPA, is a senior in the tax services team. His experience in public and corporate accounting includes FAS 109 and multistate tax issues. Sullivan holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in tax, both from Mississippi State University. Prior to joining LBMC, he was a tax analyst. 
 
Madison Vannoy is a staff member in tax services. She holds a bachelor's of business administration in accounting and finance from the University of Tennessee. Vannoy has internship experience with Dixon Hughes Goodman and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Promoted to Supervisor:
 
Margaret E. Eldridge, CPA, MBA, was promoted from a senior associate to supervisor. Eldridge joined SEK&Co in 2005 after receiving her master's degree in business administration and bachelor's degree in accounting from York College of Pennsylvania. She works in the Hanover office, providing individual, small business, and estate tax services.
 
Shannon K. Geiman, CPA, was promoted from a senior associate to supervisor. Geiman graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in business administration in accounting. She joined SEK&Co's Hanover, Pennsylvania, office in 2009, bringing with her fifteen years of accounting experience. She specializes in providing the firm's small business clients with tax preparation, planning, and consulting services.
 
MaryBeth Hockenberry, MBA, was promoted from a senior associate to supervisor. Hockenberry earned a bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a master's degree in business administration from Frostburg State University. She joined SEK&Co's Hanover, Pennsylvania, office in 2009 and specializes in assisting clients with business and individual tax consulting, planning, and preparation services. 
 
Leighton P. Stiffler was promoted from a senior associate to supervisor. Stiffler earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University in 2005. He joined SEK&Co's Carlisle office in 2008 and works in the audit department, where his primary focus has been on nonprofits and governmental entities. Prior to joining SEK&Co, Stiffler worked for Boyer and Ritter CPAs and Holy Spirit Hospital.

Promoted to Senior Associate:
 
Amy K. Brousse, CPA, was promoted from a staff associate to senior associate. Brousse graduated summa cum laude from Shippensburg University with a bachelor's degree in business administration, majoring in accounting. She joined SEK&Co's Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, office in January 2010 and works with banking clients providing audit and bank tax return services.
 
Tyler L. Clugston was promoted from a staff associate to senior associate. Clugston graduated summa cum laude from Shippensburg University, earning a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in accounting. He joined the audit department of the Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, office full time in 2009 after successfully completing internships with SEK&Co. Clugston provides services to both audit and tax clients.
 
Jennifer G. Day was promoted from a staff associate to senior associate. Day joined SEK&Co on a full-time basis in 2010 after completing a successful internship with the firm. She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, majoring in accounting, from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. She primarily works with audit clients and helps with a variety of tax projects in the firm's Hanover, Pennsylvania, office. 
 
Nicole E. Shives was promoted from a staff associate to senior associate. Nicole graduated magna cum laude from DeVry University, earning a bachelor's degree in technical management with an emphasis in accounting. She joined SEK&Co's Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, office in 2008 and works with banking clients, providing audit and bank tax return services.
 
Mark A. Hill was promoted from a staff associate to senior associate. Hill earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Elizabethtown College. He came to the Carlisle, Pennsylvania, office of SEK&Co with two years of audit experience. Hill specializes in auditing, with particular interest in nonprofit clients.
 
Promoted to Staff Associate: 
 
Jaimie S. Kaufman was promoted from an accounting/bookkeeping associate to staff associate. Kaufman earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Shippensburg University with a dual major in accounting and management information systems. She joined SEK&Co's Carlisle, Pennsylvania, office in 2009 and works with the firm's small business clients and individual clients, providing accounting, consulting, and tax services.
 
Ashley N. Poole was promoted from the firm's accounting clerk to staff associate. Poole earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Keiser University in Daytona Beach, Florida. She has served in the administrative office since 2010 and will work in the tax/accounting service department of the firm's Hagerstown, Maryland, office.
 
Promoted to Supervising Accountant:
 
Deborah L. Meckley was promoted from an accounting/bookkeeping associate to supervising accountant. Meckley graduated from York Technical Institute, York, Pennsylvania, with an associate's degree in accounting. She joined the Hanover, Pennsylvania, office of SEK&Co in 2000 and works with payroll and QuickBooks clients. She supervises the accounting service practice. Meckley is also a certified ProAdvisor in QuickBooks and is the Hanover representative to the firm's ACTS comm
