Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC (LBMC) and the LBMC Family of Companies have launched a new service line to safeguard information exchanged over mobile devices. To help spearhead this new offering to clients, LBMC has added Ken Swain, a security specialist, as a senior manager in the risk services department.

Have you ever stopped to think about who might have access to view information exchanged over your mobile device? As more and more individuals rely on mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, the more appealing these become as targets for cyber thieves. LBMC now offers specialized services for mobile applications security, including developing, reviewing, and implementing mobile policies; secure coding analysis; prevention of data leakage; and ensuring security of data while at rest and in motion.

"Many people are unaware of how quickly and easily data exchanged over a mobile device can be jeopardized," says Ken Swain, senior manager at LBMC. "We provide an end-to-end solution, from secure development life cycle (SDLC) implementation, auditing, testing, and research to ensure our clients do not fall victim to these attacks."

Swain, previously an engagement manager and senior security engineer at Hewlett-Packard, brings over twelve years of experience assisting clients with all aspects of their security needs. His areas of expertise include security incident and event management, application security, mobile security, network monitoring, system configuration management, network and system hardening, and penetration testing. Swain's certifications include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).

"Ken has joined the LBMC team at a very exciting time," says Thomas Lewis, partner at LBMC. "His added leadership and this new layer of security for our clients is a perfect example of how we strive each and every day to solve problems and enhance opportunities for our clients. The information security industry changes by the minute, but our dedicated team of professionals are committed to protecting our clients and providing excellent service."
