Wisconsin CPA firm announces new principals

The Brookfield, WI-based CPA and advisory firm of Vrakas/Blum, S.C. recently announced the promotions of William G. Martin, CPA and Susan Dunn. Martin serves as a principal of the firm, while Dunn serves as a principal of the firm's technology practice, Vrakas/Blum Computer Consulting, Inc.

Martin joined Vrakas/Blum in 2001. In his new role as principal, he helps carry out the firm's mission and serves as a mentor to the staff. Beyond his leadership roles, Martin provides comprehensive tax planning, compliance and consulting services to a diverse group of clients, including those in the auto dealership, wholesale travel, and wholesale office furniture industries. He previously served as a manager in Vrakas/Blum's tax department.

Martin is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting in 1981. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA). Martin currently resides in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Dunn joined Vrakas/Blum Computer Consulting, Inc. in 2006. As a principal, she serves as a leader of the group and works to guide its operational strategies. In addition, Dunn will retain the responsibilities she held as manager, providing clients with business software solutions consultation, implementation, training, and support.
Dunn is certified in Sage MAS 90 ERP, Sage MAS 200 ERP, JobOps, BusinessWorks, Peachtree, and Advantage Software. She has over 20 years of experience in the computer consulting field including several years as a self-employed software solutions consultant. Dunn also has previous experience in the automotive, credit and software industries.

Vrakas/Blum is a regional mid-market accounting and consulting firm based in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The firm specializes in serving closely-held businesses and their owners and offers a full range of services including: financial statement audits, reviews and accounting; tax planning and compliance; business advisory; investment advisory; merger, acquisition and divestiture assistance and consulting; business valuation and litigation support; business management software sales and consulting; and cost segregation.
