Introducing the First Real-World CFO/Controller Training Course

At 5 p.m. Eastern Time, on Thursday, May 4, 2006, accounting professionals in the New York metropolitan area who aspire to become chief financial officers (CFOs) or Controllers will have the opportunity to learn about advanced training courses at the Regev Institute CFO/Controller seminar. The two hour seminar, which is also open to CFOs and controllers seeking to sharpen their professional skills, will focus on critical but frequently overlooked financial executive tasks and responsibilities. Attendees will earn two continuing professional education (CPE) credits.

“Regev has structured its courses to prepare CPAs and qualified accountants for professional CFO and Controller positions and to empower incumbent CFOs and controllers to improve their professional skills,” lead course instructor and Wharton MBA graduate Mark S. Vitcov, CPA/MBA, said in a prepared statement. “No other course I know defines the day-to-day challenges of CFOs and Controllers.”

Seminar topics will range from in-depth analyses of variances between budgeted and actual statements of income, best practice details of CFOs and Controllers and the integration of the CFO or Controller into the organization’s strategic planning team. The content is designed to instill a full understanding of the nature and responsibilities that normally would take years to learn.

In June, Regev Institute will begin its first 42 hour CPE-credited classes for CFOs and Controllers. The curriculum, which begins with the intricacies of financial statement preparation, emphasizes the practical working tools student must have to gain confidence in the ability to perform successfully as a CFO or Controller.

Regev Institute has trained hundreds of accounting executives for leadership positions since 1988. A full description and syllabus, as well as registration information for both the 2-hour seminar or the comprehensive CFO and Controller courses, is available online at www.regevinstitute.com or by calling 914-967-1310.
