Inc.'s Top 10 Web Sites For Small Business
The April 2000 issue of Inc. magazine features a very informative article where CEOs were asked to "test drive" and rate the best reference web sites for small business.
General conclusion: all the sites had something of value, but none of them were at a level that sophisticated CEO's needed to help them run and manage their business.
The good news is that many of the sites offered their own unique "golden nugget" - an application that really added value to the experience. Further good news is that during the two month Inc. study, many of the sites continued to add new features and functions to bring more value. In short, the web is changing so quickly that what rates average today may be great tomorrow.
So, without further delay, we present the Top 10 Web Sites For Small Business, as selected in Inc. Magazine. If you have a small business or have clients who are small businesses, be sure you're familiar with these sites:

Voice of the Editor
Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
