Connecting Small Business Owners and Accounting Professionals

A new, innovative service is available to help small businesses meet their accounting needs-and it is free.

The Green Brim, LLC gives business owners a way to fill their accounting, tax or bookkeeping needs using a simple online registration process. This eliminates the pricing disadvantages that can occur when negotiating fees with accounting firms and cuts the time it takes to obtain and check referrals.

"The virtual marketplace helps small business owners to obtain the best possible pricing, while at the same time increasing consumer awareness," says company founder Robert Stewart. Buyers are connected with the professional service providers that meet their posted job requirements on a web-based site and they deal directly, both eliminating middleman expenses.

Professionals also login and choose a password and user name. They post skills, education level, experience and geographic region availability. A bid proposal is submitted which the client reviews, via the Green Brim account email. No information is disclosed until the bid is submitted. Not only is advertising money saved, but the independent contractor no longer needs to rely solely on agencies or referrals. State of the art encryption techniques are employed for the security of all parties.

The Tampa, Florida, based company empowers both the client and the provider with individual choices in both the offering and acceptance of jobs. No commission fee is charged by the company, but they enable the buyer and the seller to get together and evaluate each other and decide their own transaction agreement terms.

A visit to the site,, is free for view only of summaries of project descriptions open for bid. Gold memberships are available at $27.95 a month and provide unlimited access to nationwide proposals and unlimited bidding rights. Platinum membership is $39.95 and contains all the above privileges, with email alerts and priority bids explained on the website. There is no long term commitment and membership may be cancelled at any time.

In its effort "to continue to improve our quality of life," the company donates 10 percent of all profits equally between the American Red Cross, The Lance Armstrong Foundation, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The Humane Society of the United States, All Children's Hospital and Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
