AICPA Business Solutions Expands to Include 401(k)

Paychex 401(k) Recordkeeping services have been added to the Paychex Partner Program from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Business Solutions.

“The addition of 401(k) to the CPAs’ tool chest offers another great way to professionally serve their clients,” said Tony Tortorella, vice president of Human Resource Services – Sales for Paychex. “Setting up and servicing retirement plans continues to be a challenge for the small business owner, so by expanding our partnership with AICPA Business Solutions to include retirement services, Paychex can provide CPAs with a new way to meet the needs of those businesses.”

Paychex already provides 401(k) record-keeping service to more than 32,000 clients representing in excess of $4.8 billion in assets nationwide. The expanded AICPA Business Solutions Paychex Partner Program allows enrolled CPAs to offer their clients a $200 discount on Paychex 401(k) set-up fees and a six-month satisfaction guarantee.

Since late 2003, nearly 20,000 CPAs from 13,000 firms throughout the U.S. have enrolled in the Paychex Partner Program from AICPA Business Solutions. The program is exclusive to CPAs and provides unique benefits helping them strengthen their client relationships.

“We’ve been referring clients to Paychex for four years because it’s an efficient way for us to help clients manage their payroll,” says Shimon Wolf, CPA, of Wolf Maryles and Associates, LLC in New York City. “The fact that payroll is linked to 401(k) is a very big plus. Most of our clients want to provide retirement benefits to their employees, and Paychex gives us an effective way to offer our clients these services.”
