California CPA Society Insurance Company Grows

CAMICO, the professional liability insurance company owned and operated by the California Society of CPAs, will begin managing the liability insurance offered by DPIC as of January 1.

CAMICO is based in Redwood City, CA, and administers insurance products not only for members of the state society, but for other state societies as well. With the initial phase of the program, CAMICO will underwrite products, and deliver various other functions, while DPIC affiliates will continue to handle day-to-day handling of claims for agents and policyholders.

The announcement that DPIC and CAMICO would unite was first announced last August, and are doing so to increase market share for the extremely lucrative professional liability insurance business.

DPIC is based in Monterrey, CA, and is a member of the specialty division of Royal & SunAlliance USA.
