AICPA Seeks Volunteer Testers for Online Exam
The American Institute of CPAs has issued a call for volunteers to test questions that may be included in the future online CPA Exam. AICPA is considering the online exam to replace the old paper-based format to more accurately reflect the CPA environment by testing on day-to-day issues within the CPA profession.
Participants will provide feedback to AICPA on their exam experience, levels of difficulty, practical applications and more. The intent is to ascertain how the paper-based exam may transition to a computer-based format.
CPAs with one to three years' experience, who took and passed the exam within the past two year, are eligible for the testing, which begins March 27 at AICPA offices in Jersey City, NJ.
Appointments are available for the testing, which will last about four hours, and CPE credit will be provided. For more information, call Jennifer Kobrin at 201.938.3420 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Voice of the Editor
Which isn’t completely true. I mean, occasionally I drop by when I manage to sneak out of the nonstop frat party over at Going Concern, but I’m mostly a wallflower over there. I’m happy to say that I’ve been given express permission (or explicit orders, if you like) to wander over here to AccountingWEB more often.
Why is that, you might ask? My job is to replace the irreplaceable Gail Perry as Editor-in-Chief. What does that mean? I don’t really know! I think it’ll be fun getting a feel for things, throwing in my own thoughts here and there, and listening to the discussions you’re having about the accounting profession.
