AICPA Adds to its Hall of Fame

The American Institute of CPAs has honored three of its members for their achievements in the profession by inducting them into its Business & Industry Hall of Fame.

The inductees are Edward D. Beach, a former vice chairman of Broyhill Furniture Industries and former president of BMC Fund, Gayl W. Foster, president of Sigma Micro Corp. in Indianapolis, and Paul E. Larson, former president of insurance company Equitable of Iowa.

"Each honoree exemplifies the new finance professional, as CPAs in corporations who parlay traditional CPA skills into high-level strategic business management," says John Morrow, an AICPA vice president. "They take expert financial acumen and blend in information technologies and forward-looking management techniques to deliver unique, added value to their organization's executive teams."

The Hall of Fame is sponsored jointly by the AICPA and Accountants On Call, a national human resources firm that deals with accounting and finance professionals.
