AccountingWEB's Platt Named To Top 100 List

Michael PlattCongratulations to AccountingWEB President Michael Platt, named this year as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in the Accounting Profession, according to the annual study released by Accounting Today.

Each year, editors at Accounting Today choose the recipients of this award with one critical criterion in mind: Those on the list are changing the way in which the profession does business.

"It's an honor to be included on the Top 100 list among so many friends and colleagues. All of us are committed to ensuring that the profession thrives in the coming years, and I'm delighted to be in a position to help move it towards continued success, " says Platt.

Platt's background in the accounting profession includes fifteen years of servicing mid-sized CPA firms as Vice President and President of two North American accounting firm networks - Associated Accounting Firms International and Moore Stephens North America. It was there that the foundation was built for understanding the challenges and opportunities facing CPA firms today. Recognizing the growing influence of the Internet, Platt launched AccountingWEB in the summer of 1999 and with his team has built an organization that is helping to change the way the profession does business.

Congratulations Mike!
