Schneider Downs & Co., Inc., a public accounting, tax, and business advisory firm, has recently appointed Frank A. Wisehart as director of its business advisory services practice in Columbus.
Wisehart brings more than 20 years of business advisory experience to Schneider Downs. Prior to joining Schneider Downs, he was president of Wisehart & Wisehart, Inc., a certified public accounting firm specializing in business valuations, litigation support, and forensic accounting. Before that, he held an IT auditor position with an international accounting firm.
At Schneider Downs, Wisehart will be responsible for the development and delivery of the firm's specialized business advisory services. He will oversee business valuation, forensic accounting, transaction due diligence, operational consulting, and expert testimony and litigation support services.
"Frank joins Schneider Downs as a highly experienced business advisory executive with a unique blend of expertise in forensic accounting, fraud, business valuation, and financial due diligence," said Joseph J. Patrick, Jr., managing shareholder of Schneider Downs's Columbus office.
"Frank will be a great asset to our team and will assist Schneider Downs with strengthening our firm's recognition as a leading provider of accounting, tax, and business advisory services in the Columbus market," said Patrick.
Wisehart, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, received a Masters of Business Administration from Cornell University and Queen's University in Kingston, Canada, and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He has served as an instructor for the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and has received the honor of "Instructor of Great/Exceptional Distinction" from 2004 through 2009 for his service to NACVA.
Wisehart also has served as a featured lecturer for the Ohio State, Columbus, and Toledo Bar Associations and has testified as an expert witness in federal and state courts, offering expertise on a wide range of cases, including bankruptcy, fraud, business valuation, divorce, and lost-profit /damage calculations.
"We are excited about Frank joining Schneider Downs, as he brings an excellent set of business advisory skills that will enhance the services we offer to our clients in Central Ohio," said Joel M. Rosenthal, business advisory services shareholder.
