What are the common skills possessed by Forensic Accountants? They involve both fundamental forensic knowledge (an understanding of the legal system, rules of evidence and the courts) combined with a heavy emphasis on a specialized forensic area such as Bankruptcy, Computer Forensic Analysis, Economic damages, Family Law, Financial Statement Fraud, Fraud Prevention, and a general understanding of Valuation. Do attorneys recognize the CFF Credential?Through outreach efforts, the legal profession is beginning to appreciate the value of the CFF credential. One of the reasons for the launch of the CFF credential was that there was a market demand for a person who specializes in Forensic Accounting. Must I have a CFF Credential to testify in Court? No, but an understanding of the Body of Knowledge for the Forensic Accountant will provide a great deal of assistance in both understanding the legal environment as well as the various specialized areas of Forensic Accounting.
