IRVINE, Calif., August 23, 2000 - Sage Software Inc., a leading provider of mid-range business management software, today announced the appointment of Lee Hagen to vice president of enterprise sales. In his new role, Hagen will be responsible for the sales, pre-sales and consulting groups of Sage Enterprise Suite.

Hagen has an impressive background in channel sales, services, sales force management and enterprise resource planning. He served as western regional vice president of sales and services for PowerCerv Corporation, an enterprise resource planning software provider. In addition to his ERP experience, Hagen has held marketing and management positions for such companies as Symix Systems, MAI Basic Four, and the Symbol Technologies.
Most notable in his extensive background, Hagen designed and implemented an early sales force automation and prospect tracking system for a national company. His involvement in the development placed him among the ranks of early pioneers in the customer relationship management/sales force automation industry.
Hagen will be based in Sage Software's Dallas office.
