It's true. PricewaterhouseCoopers has unveiled its new "e-conomy" site dedicated to providing business-to-business products at a discount price.
Members would be other businesses who want to obtain anything from office supplies to staffing services and software to travel deals.
Why? Sources say this is the latest effort by large accounting services firms to carve out yet another niche in online abilities, and could inter-relate to the firm's other IT services it provides to its client base.
The difference with the PWC site is that it is supported by the firm with some $18 billion in support, versus start-ups that have a smidgeon of the backing.
