Internet Tip: How Current is that Web Site?

There are billions of pages available on the Internet today. Information abounds, but you never really know how current that information is.

Now you can check to see when a web page was last updated by going to the site, then entering the following in the address/location bar:

javascript:alert(document.lastModified)

Note: This works in Netscape Communicator and Microsoft Internet Explorer (versions 4 and higher)and Opera 5.

So next time you see a page that you think is a treasure trove of useful current information, a quick check will tell you whether it's been updated since 1995 ...
